Can't control team glitch/bug?

Hopped in a FUT Champs knockout game to test out a new squad and I've got zero control over my players. The game is playing the game for me. I'm currently watching this go down. lmao. Weah just scored for me. haha I've got no clue what's going on.

I pressed start to see if I could take control, and across the top of the team management section of the menu it said "Bayern Munich Default" and then the game immediately crashed.

so I just watched it back... When i paused the game, it displayed my opponents team in the team management window and his team name was Bayern Munchen which was the guys team name. Basically it looked like I was seeing what he was seeing. I messaged the guy he said he was playing the whole time as himself, had no idea it was the CPU playing for me.

This. I did that and lost control even when I connected the same controller back. My controller just started blinking and wouldn't connect anymore. I tried to switch to my wired one and lost control in game. I could navigate the menus just not my players in the game. My player just stood there though.

But he may be right because if you switched to another controller that is associated to a different account on your Xbox then you might have fudged up your controls for the game. EA may not allow a different profile to assume control of players in game.

No. Same profile. Same controller. Same Xbox. Same routine. Never had this happen before. Is what it is. I'm not bothered by the loss. I just thought it was pretty crazy.

happened to me once on ps4 , last 10min of the game , i pass to my LB from smalling and all of a sudden i dont have control and Lb passes it to smalling and back to my keeper and my keeper loses the ball and he scores ... GARBAGE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ GAME !

Has happened to me before too; controller died and I had to switch profiles, which caused the issue. If you put the controller that died back on, and press pause, you go to your own team management. Strange bug.
