I'm not sure how to add a poll to this thread but the question is simple.
I've always thought it's a bit cruel how easy it is to kill off a tie with an away goal in the return leg. They immediately suck out the excitement of a match just because of the nearly insurmountable challenge they impose on teams.
There were rumblings of potential change to the rule when Blatter criticized the rule back in 2014, but none have come so far.
The CONCACAF Champions League uses a modification of the away goals rule, wherein it applies for the full 90 minutes in both legs but not if the tie heads to extra time due to the perceived advantage for the away side.
I was just wondering what others thought of this rule.
