Warning/Spoiler: Longish rant/seeking advice.
Because clearly I'm left in the dark. I don't understand how I can be in the perfect position to make an interception and it just goes between my players legs, or right by them and they make no effort. If I press B for the interception, I get the awful useless stretched leg animation, if I only press LT, it just megs them, if I just simply position them directionally, they just don't react to the pass. MEANWHILE, my opponent can user mark my players out of the game completely and intercept EVERY GOD DAMN PASS that goes within their reach. I seriously don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Now offensively, is there some secret to play crisp accurate passes? and get great ball control? I'm got what I and most would consider a pretty good team with great ball control, yet my passing in the final third is attrocious about 75% of the time over the recent weeks. It doesn't matter how simple the pass is, the game finds a way to **** it up for me. It's either crisp and inaccurate, or it's accurate and slow as molassus and the game won't let me go to the ball, chooses to force my player to keep backing up and it get's picked off. I'm legitimately scared to make a backwards pass. More often than not when I try pass the ball back to my midfield from my forwards, the game pings it all the back to my CBs and sometimes straight to their striker... no matter how LIGHTLY I tap A sometimes, it'll skip that wide open player 5 yards away and ping it on the other side of the pitch. There are games where I feel like the game won't let me pass it to certain players. And again... on the flip side my players passing will be the most incredible thing I've ever witnessed.
So please.... any advice would be greatly appreciated. This weekend league was the worst gameplay overall I've ever experienced in any FIFA. I failed to get AT LEAST Gold 1 for the first time since the first WL when I didn't even finish my games and got gold 3.
