Haven't used it this year but recently I feel that I need a formation with a CAM and a lone striker. 4411 and 433(4) seem too vulnerable in defence (I'm an average defender at best), and I can't seem to get 4231(2) to work+building a team I like is a pain in the ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I'm using 4231 narrow but I have some wingers I want to use and I can't fit them in. Don't want to change formations in-game.
So...433-3, even though there's a CM instead of CAM, I think it could play in a similar way to how I want it to play. So what are you impressions of it?

they play really well. You have wingers and a C(A)M to support the striker. C(D)Ms for possessions and the defense. I've had most success with quick C(D)Ms, as they have to close down counters...
Kanté and Dembele was my pair.
Thanks, sounds good. Did you use any instructions or found any WR that work better? Especially for the ST and CM.
Also, the ST didn't feel too isolated?
What's your playstyle? Do you use any CT or instructions?
Defensively I'm sure it'll be pretty solid, a bit more worried about how it plays in attack.
CDMs have cut passing lanes
CM get forward - imo plays like a cam
ST - get in behind and press back lane
LW - cut inside, get behind and get into box for crosses.
Rest is on default.
It's isn't that much different really, the midfielders will still support the striker just start slightly deeper, other than that everyone is in the same positions, I still manage to get goals late on with it but like I say I've not used it for full games yet.
Works really well in attackin play as well - especially if you leave fullbacks and cdm's on balanced attack. A bit vulrneable to counter attacks of course. Workin for me so far, managed to hold DIV 1 with a game to spare, usually end up getting relegated.
Just not working for me anymore
Always liked the thought of false 9, but is it not difficult to penetrate teams with it?
It takes more effort and skill indead, but it's a lot of fun and good to use when used correctly. @jbwalton7
Check out the guide from @Fred is Bae for inspiration on teams and CT's, maybe it will work for you again.
