In roughly 9/10 WL's I have had 1 disconnection where the game has given me the loss. I can't recollect one game where my opponent has disconnected where I didn't feel it was a rage quit. Just 1. People on here go on about 4/5 a weekend. Surely that's your connection?
PTB - I don't even feel this is a problem. I don't notice many playing it vs me. Feels like it's a go to excuse for a lot of people on here. When people play PTB I just ping a few long rangers.
Lagging - again a go to excuse. Rarely feel this in game and even if I do opponent is suffering too. Gameplay feels similar to seasons/drafts etc. Fast forward lag no more than a couple of seconds once or twice per weekend.
Game result decided beforehand. - this is comical if this was the case people wouldn't go 40/40. Simple as that. Things go against you 100% but you don't notice things that go your way or choose to ignore them. It evens out over time. There are some comical videos on here I'll admit with players doing drastic things but that's a gameplay glitch. If that happens in a RPG you walk straight through a closed door or something like that (eh nobody cares) in a competitive game mode the result is obviously more dire.
What I do believe needs changing is the EST date. Someone mentioned in the other thread having to wait 40 mins for a game that's ridiculous.

After just enjoying two games where my opponent parked the bus and time wasted from the first minute, and won, with 50k teams I am honestly asking myself if FC has killed FIFA.
EA are in a tough spot here. They have passed the point on no return by making this mode. Once it is out there it is probably going to have to stay.
And that is going to do nothing but encourage toxic gameplay from all people.

I'd rather they beat me 6-0 than hid in the corner. It's the most frustrating thing in the whole game.
I've given up with the WL, but in other game modes people are still using the same tactics, formations and players. Taking ages to get a game.

I agree for the most part - I'm also a gold 3 / 2 level player and I am the idiot playing 3atb with default tactics and instructions. Works the same as 3atb with customs.
Only different view I have from you is the button lag / delay. That is by far the most frustrating thing about this year's game for me and is the one thing that can put me on tilt. I don't consider myself a skiller or anything, but if I try to use one and I know I executed the input correctly it needs to register my input. That and the passing (auto passing and inverted passing - goes the opposite direction to where my player is going which is most likely related to the input delay) are the things that can change results and make you feel like you have no control.
Easy way to solve it, Top players should be miles ahead of lesser players. Like Alderweireld should play better than bailey. Musa shouldnt be better than pretty much every top player. Then atleast you would face different teams and using op players and play ptb wouldnt work.
Maybe its the end of fut champions for you but i dare say its been massive success for EA.

End of the day as someone said, you arent forced to play WL. Play seasons, single match friendlies whatever you fancy but to say this is the end of FIfa? Give over lol. This weekend alone with the amount of packs opened should tell you the answer.

Im still playing because when I get to play a good game I really enjoy it. I also really like to trade and try new players. There are so many aspects and details of the game that EA have done a great job on. Those things keep me coming back for more still.

It's the counter attack low pressure, I prefer playing PTB than to get through 7 players then face a static back line sat in the 18 yard box that don't move an inch. Put two CDM's infront of that back 4 that chase back like men possessed (kante, sanches) and it's basically a bank of 7 and it's not fun. I personally refuse to ever stoop that low but if you wanna win games at all costs do what you gotta do.

I don't have the time, patience or effort anymore. I've loved this franchise for years, throughout the pace abuse, the heading abuse, the LB&Y abuse, Chemgate the lot but this year it stops

You do know there was a time when I didn't. When I could go and play football myself 3-4 times a week but when I got my injury 4 years ago that meant me not being able to play sports again I turned to gaming as my hobby. Football is my passion and gaming is my hobby so naturally I'm drawn to football games
So that's for drawing my own conclusion, that's the problem I do care and why I feel so passionate that it's gone downhill
This game is the best FUT ever for me, FUT Champions and SBC are the best things they have ever done. In terms of gameplay it's also the best for me even with some of the bad stuff in it, with some tweaks it's undoubtedly the best gameplay ever....people are forgetting how bad past FIFAs actually were.
Anyways I don't really mind the PTB, low pressure, counter attack etc because it's a competitive game mode and you can still overcome those things if you're good enough and adapt. Which is fine but you use those tactics like what's been said before and it's got you pele for your troubles which is awesome. Yes the ability you have will play a huge part but I'm drawing back again to my point if you have to play like that to earn some virtual currency and virtual cards then be my guest. I for one will never care that much that it negates fun for me
some people are getting hurt over WL... key is not caring, not being so competitive and cheap for the rewards... it's their problem if they do the dirty tactics. I know I don't...
anyway, L2 shielding is way overused in WL... it's ridiculous, players look like crabs the whole game

The community is pathetic, the game is broken and EA seemingly forget to listen to anything we say. 40 minutes for @AnDrEwThEdOn to get a game? You having a laugh? My best record is 27 back outs in a row, get to ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Then you look at muppets like the clown on here that as soon as someone gets a Penalty he quits (TWICE) so te opponent doesn't get the win at 0-0 and that's OK? in EA's book cause there is no punishment for it. I don't have the time, patience or effort anymore. I've loved this franchise for years, throughout the pace abuse, the heading abuse, the LB&Y abuse, Chemgate the lot but this year it stops

Nah you're wrong!That's why you're only person defending EA there.Reality is that game is crap and EA are shameless thieves who steals from their own customers by blocking their accounts without any reason.
You do know there was a time when I didn't. When I could go and play football myself 3-4 times a week but when I got my injury 4 years ago that meant me not being able to play sports again I turned to gaming as my hobby. Football is my passion and gaming is my hobby so naturally I'm drawn to football games
So that's for drawing my own conclusion, that's the problem I do care and why I feel so passionate that it's gone downhill
Anyways I don't really mind the PTB, low pressure, counter attack etc because it's a competitive game mode and you can still overcome those things if you're good enough and adapt. The stuff that shouldn't be in the game at all is the delay, auto passing, established date on the screen etc, we have no control over that and can't do anything against it versus something like PTB/counter.
Fair enough, However I would then question why so many people are contributing to a forum dedicated to a "crap" game.

There is ways around ptb, learn them.
Which is fine but you use those tactics like what's been said before and it's got you pele for your troubles which is awesome. Yes the ability you have will play a huge part but I'm drawing back again to my point if you have to play like that to earn some virtual currency and virtual cards then be my guest. I for one will never care that much that it negates fun for me
anyway, L2 shielding is way overused in WL... it's ridiculous, players look like crabs the whole game
It's surely a simple fix to remove a bit of text from the screen for matchmaking?
