Spot on there fella, I haven't played WL for 3 weeks now and won't spend any more money on FP. I won't make a differeance to EA but if more followed it may. Profits are all that matter to them so hit them where it hurts.
The only way to make people stop abusing PTB is giving out rewards for the amount of goals you scored.
Like if your Ronaldo made the most goals this WL you get another 50-100k.
If you made it in the top 100 most goals scored teams in that WL then you get also a reward, just like the WL works now with wins.
Nah, the only way is to make ptb not effective. If team pressing would actually make your team press ptb wouldn't work at all. But instead your team keeps this passive mentality and chills on the half way line which makes ptb and shielding effective, because you can't attack your opponent with more than 1 or 2 players

Ah mate that isn't entirely true. I still play the game yeah (for now) but I have not spent a cent on FIFA Points in over two months because of these issues. I am not stopping playing but I am speaking with my pocket book and I would strongly encourage everyone reading this to do the same.
If your team actually pressed when you ask them to and did it high up the field it would negate it. The problem is even on high pressure and team pressing your team rarely ventures into there final third so you have to manual select each play and then rb press which isnt effective as they will still have an outlet whereas if your whole team pressed they wouldnt.
Appears so more and more people are just ptb and one touch passing so your players can't get the near the ball. Let's not even get into the gameplay and the unmentionables and how your team can play brilliant to absolute dire, why can't we just have a level playing field regardless of who has the better players that's what football is about doesn't matter who's better anything can happen in football
I ove the idea of WL as i consider myself decent and like to see what im like against pros. I just wish i didn't come uo against PTB most the time. Maybe its my ronaldo ... hes cursed

The less AI help defending the better imo. @Snipguy speaks very very well on the subject often. Lower the defending AI and we will see a massive skill gap.
Snip always says it should be easy to attack and hard to defend and I agree. Even if I hover around a 2:1 WL (which is ok) at least in an attacking game I can look at my Paulo Futre's goal record and see a nice 1-1.5 score points per game and take just a little joy in that. A little joy that for 1-1.5 times a game I got to Muevelo with my Futre.

Lol they only care about fp income they couldnt care less if we play or not wl; obv we already paid for the game so we r gonna play it, but didnt spend a penny this year, while last year iv spent 400 euros
Fun is over, when u nerf dribbling and skill moves the only way to score is with through balls, so everybody goes 10 pressing or ptb to negate em too, pathetic and stupid move it was by ea
And strikers still sat in middlefield when opponent ptb so its bad designed and bugged atm, every year is worse

And it is two fold.
One when the skills work they are not effective generally.
Two if the don't register at all (often) now you are on the back foot because of the input delay.

Also after playing the qualifiers for the last few weeks I'm not sure if I just enjoyed previous Fifa titles more, because the opponents were worse in those qualifiers you can skill as much as you want, go for awesome goals, try volleys and stuff and still get the win. It's great to play, but then it's only possible because my opponents are trash.
In the weekend league you meet the best opponents and obviously the biggest douchebags too. You can't catch a break and that's what makes it so exhausting imo.
@Pugzilla just look at the futties cup from last year btw, it wasn't any better than the weekend league is. As soon as you meet good players who can win something the fun is over
players were Seamless and I didn't play a single guy who used low pressure or CT. They were fun games probably the most fun I've had this year in one night

The game does seem to have gone from what it is originally intended to be, which is being a fun thing to do.
WL and dIVISION 5+ (because of auto qualification) are just terrible win at all costs, stressful modes of play. There really is no enjoyment to be had for the average player. Just frustration.
EA really need to adjust the balance, maybe even bring back cups or something to spread out the field of play.

I agree with what you are saying in general. I mean I dont play every week, but yesterday I came up against people with teams worth well over 4-5million, yet they start off with PTB at 0-0, completely takes the fun out of the game and pisses me off. Like do people not just play for fun anymore or to score goals? Last Fifa I played was 14 and the way people play now is a complete joke.

@Campino well I went undefeated until I hit div 2 and it was obviously fun, because it was easy. Imo it's the non-stop competition combined with people doing everything for a win that makes tue highest level not fun at all.
Div 1 is a sh*t show, it's worse than the weekend league for me. In 200 weekend league games I haven't met as many time wasters as in 2 or 3 div 1 seasons
This game will continuously get bigger, pes has just lost way too much ground to compete again. Previous years people complained about high pressure this year it's low pressure. Either way it's obvious that ea don't test the game properly
Not touched WL since November, or any game mode on UT since the start of december.
Have traded my way up to a couple of mil during that time though with the intention of trying out some higher end players. Will stick to seasons once i finally get round to it.

After just enjoying two games where my opponent parked the bus and time wasted from the first minute, and won, with 50k teams I am honestly asking myself if FC has killed FIFA.
EA are in a tough spot here. They have passed the point on no return by making this mode. Once it is out there it is probably going to have to stay.
And that is going to do nothing but encourage toxic gameplay from all people.
And that is going to be driving people away from FIFA.
I enjoy playing FIFA. I do not enjoy chasing the ball and having my opponents shield the ball at every moment that is not FIFA. The last two WL games I just played were not FIFA. They did not resemble in least the FIFA gameplay that got me hooked during the World Cup.

For the record I don't play PTB or use Musa and the gang. My best record on WL is 19 wins (matched today with 8 games remaining. Go me!)
In roughly 9/10 WL's I have had 1 disconnection where the game has given me the loss. I can't recollect one game where my opponent has disconnected where I didn't feel it was a rage quit. Just 1. People on here go on about 4/5 a weekend. Surely that's your connection?
PTB - I don't even feel this is a problem. I don't notice many playing it vs me. Feels like it's a go to excuse for a lot of people on here. When people play PTB I just ping a few long rangers.
Lagging - again a go to excuse. Rarely feel this in game and even if I do opponent is suffering too. Gameplay feels similar to seasons/drafts etc. Fast forward lag no more than a couple of seconds once or twice per weekend.
Game result decided beforehand. - this is comical if this was the case people wouldn't go 40/40. Simple as that. Things go against you 100% but you don't notice things that go your way or choose to ignore them. It evens out over time. There are some comical videos on here I'll admit with players doing drastic things but that's a gameplay glitch. If that happens in a RPG you walk straight through a closed door or something like that (eh nobody cares) in a competitive game mode the result is obviously more dire.
What I do believe needs changing is the EST date. Someone mentioned in the other thread having to wait 40 mins for a game that's ridiculous.
Certain players need toning down. There is nothing in Butland stats for instance which suggest he should be one of the best keepers on the game. But this is not new this year or due to the game mode. Players have exploited Musa for years just more noticeable now he's in a Prem team.
This no doubt won't be a popular post with those who like a weekly breakdown due to a computer game but your reactions on here make me think that the reason your losing is due more to your mental state than the game screwing you.

cant play offline because the the leagues are too restrictive to use any player you want.
