Fair time to begin discussing Team of the Group Stage

With matchday 5 wrapping up tomorrow and then the group stage ending soon, a probable recurrence of last year's TOTGS is likely. Who does everyone think will be in it. These were in forms last year I believe so that could possibly play a key role with certain OTW cards...like Ousmane Dembele who is 2nd in UCL in assists with 5. Only guy ahead of him as of right this minute is Neymar with 6. Ronaldo nipping at his heels with 4.

Likely inclusion though there are still atleast 90 if not 180 minutes for guys to play are:

Messi-7 goals 2 assists with 180 minutes potentially left to play
Ozil- 4 goals 2 assists with 180' yet to play
Mahrez-4 goals 90' to play
Lewandowski- 4 goals 180' to play
Cavani- 4 goals 180' left
Walcott- 3 goals 180' left
Kimmich- 3 goals 180' left
Aubameyang- 3 goals 90' left and Dortmund leading the scoring
Ousmane Dembele- 1 goals 5 assists
Alexis Sanchez- 2 goals 2 assists but great ratings on all sites I have seen

Defenders and Defensive based midfielders are harder to judge as well as keepers. A good thing to chime in on plus attackers you see maybe usurping those above and/or adding to the list.

Some defensive based players I see making it

Fabinho- Monaco
Sidibe-Monaco
N'zonzi-Sevilla based off stats I have seen but not sue how Sevilla are doing so that point could be rendered moot if they dont make it thru.

Feel free to hype whomever.

Stop trying to create any form of a dip we re keeping our teams. ;) On topic still close to a month away if they even do it.. They're too inconsistent .. Won't be as good as last years also..

    On a serious note,

Surely Reus with 2 goals & 2 assists is more impressive than Aubameyang's 3 goals?

Also would like to add that its entirely possible that they get their own special cards instead of In Forms. Yet I havent seen one to suggest that since a more normal list of card designs was mentioned.

I think its likely that he would have to have a big game against Madrid or atleast a statistical impact to get in simply due to lack of games. Could be wrong though

Quaresma deserves a shout as well. 2 goals and 3 assists i think

Defenders with clean sheets and goals. Bonucci has a goal and 2 clean sheets. Not amazing but can't think of many others.

Its like 15 days away and this can be an ongoing discussion and yes also to raise awareness to the likelihood of it happening. It was a big success at a time that EA needs something hyped between BF/CM and FUTMAS. I do believe they will do it again.

Not sure why it wouldnt be as good as last years? Even so, it will be hyped.

Very true, I didnt know that was brought to the more reputable sites. That does make sense which would make it ever more hyped ;)

Yeah I was struggling without knowing. I figured Monaco will get one or two and then we will probably get the obligatory Thiago Silva or something.

Yeah I just saw him as I was filtering thru. Are they in line to get thru to the round of 16. Sadly I think that will be a necessity for guys like Quaresma and N'zonzi. Would love for both though.

Yeah if they do, I would assume atleast Quaresma would get in and who knows who else. Not sure what keepers have done what. I wonder how Oblak has done (I have only watched a limited amount of games)

    Defenders
    CB x 6

    Midfielders
    RM x 4
    LM x 3
    CM x 1

    Attackers
    ST x 4
    LW x 2
    RW x 1

Ousmane will get in purely on his stats rather than a good overall group stage

Theres another 12 spots. It will be packed full of high rated players, ive just done a mix of locks and lower rated guys.

Thats 11 players who could get in, not what I think is the best 11
