Difference between traits & specialties

Can someone enlighten me....about the differene between traits & specialties.

For example there is a playmaker trait and playmaker specialty.....is it the same thing?

    No.
    Specialties are given based on stats.
    Example:
    Speedster
    Your player’s Acceleration and Sprint Speed needs to be about 180 to be a Speedster.

    Traits are like special abilities and have nothing to do with stats.
    Example would be Long throw trait on Handanovic, meaning he can throw the ball further compared to a GK who doesn't have that trait.

    What about speed dribbler?

    Probably high pace and also good balance/ball control/dribbling etc

    The trait? Dunno really, I assume his dribbling is better when he sprints compared to those who don't have it.
