Do I really want to qualify for the WL?

Managed to qualify on the first week, played 9 games and lost 6. Since then I usually manage about 2-3 attempts at the weekly tourneys, and usually lose in the finals or the semi final.

A friend of mine who's slightly better than me qualifies ever week, this week he has a 12-12 record and he says he doesn't want to play anymore because it's so exhausting.

So my question is, should I actually attempt at qualifying every week, endure the sweat and stress of the tourneys and the actual WL, just so I could maybe play 10-15 games and probably win no more that 5-8 of them?

Or should I just focus on less stressful game modes?

I do it about once a month, if you can play without caring you can enjoy it. I usually hit about Gold 2 with games left over but it's just too many games for me. I hate feeling forced to play, that's when I don't enjoy it.

If I knew I could reach Gold it would probably be easier to decide, but I don't have time to play more than 15 games during that time, and judging by my current playing ability, I doubt I'll win even half of that.

I qualify usually on my first try and win something like two of every three games in WL and I don't even want to play it that much. It's addicting, but really not that enjoyable in my opinion. My losses are disappointing and my wins feel hollow.

I think I'll play it once a month just for the rewards, but that's it. It's also really hard to manage finishing the necessary games for the rewards, as I only got through 31 games. I hurt my knee in real life and have a some free time now away from real life commitments, but the WL games just put me in such a foul mood that I don't want to finish the forty games and I just don't have it in me, WL or not, to sit in front of my Xbox for that long anymore.

It just depends on what's important to you. Getting something like gold 3 gives you 30k and some really nice packs. That's what I got last week and it netted me around 80k in value, which is about 2k coins per game. Not bad.

Also, the gameplay is fun in the sense that everyone is trying their hardest and you might face some good players to test yourself. It is good practice.

At the same time, 40 matches in three days is a lot. It doesn't leave a lot of time and energy for anything else, and I don't really think it's healthy.

Personally, I just want to go hard for a full month so that I can try to get some gold IFs and one of the special kits. I failed to qualify in the first week of November, so will likely target December for all four weeks. Once I've achieved that goal, I'll probably only play FUT Champs casually when I feel like it.

Yeah, I can do 25-30 games max before giving up, but you will improve playing the WL, even if just 10 games or so for practice. Focus less on the rewards and just enjoy playing and the challenge, don't get upset if you lose etc. Try out different teams\players to make it more fun.
  • No need for it. Don't waste ur spare time not even having fun. Its not worth it and is pure Grind.

My advice is to play through seasons Friday-Sunday if possible. Winning D2 or holding D1 is qualification for next week. It's much easier because all the best players are playing WL so you'll find it easier in higher divs.

I've got gold one or plus every week and I don't enjoy it at all. I wouldn't go near the mode if I was consistently losing. It really isn't an enjoyable mode but the packs and coins make it worth it. With guaranteed ifs saves me putting money in as well.

No. It isn't much fun. I am actually pleasantly surprised by the amount of people saying it is a grind, not enjoyable and not a healthy to play FIFA.

I got Gold last week, going worse this week but I don't have the will to finish to find out if I can make it. To be honest for weekly rewards I would rather buy the packs...I would pay not to play, that is sad. Unless you are elite or top 100 it's only worth it in my opinion for the monthly rewards and even then you aren't guaranteed anything useful to you.

If you struggle to qualify it's no place for you
  • I've just been 26-10... then lost the last 4 games in a row (worst run in three weeks) so i'm gonna go ahead and say no

It's only worth doing if you can get gold 3 and above fairly comfortably, if it takes you 40 games to get 20 wins then it's not worth the time.

Thanks guys, pretty much what I thought.

I'll probably skip the weekly tourneys and focus on single match and the occasional seasons match. If I get lucky and get to Div1 I'll give the WL a shot.

Personally, I think it is worth it if you are going to be playing the game at the weekend anyway.

The prizes on offer in the WL are way better than just playing seasons or single matches at the weekend.

Just treat it as any other weekend, play your normal number of games and see what you get. Don't put pressure on yourself to get a certain number of wins.
