Anyone notice that the sound is worse when listening with wired headphones with or without the adapter vs the old headphone jack/Bluetooth?

Sounds the same to me, no discernible difference that I can hear

I notice it in my car the most. Bass sounds weaker, sometimes the sound quality is lower. This is when I have it plugged in my aux via the adapter. But when I unplug it and use my old phone with the headphone jack, it sounds loads better.

Likely the issue of stereo and mono mode

Thought that too but all settings are identical. I also notice I have to turn the volume up higher with the adapter than when I don't use the adapter and use the headphones that came with phone.

I also just did some googling and apparently tests have been done and supposedly the adapter does effect music quality
