I play FUT since 2010 and I dont believe handicap exists or momentum. A few years back I won 60-65% of the games....this year I win 40% and I still dont believe it exists.
Momentum might be real but not in the game, Its just you feel presure and play a certain way...this is also true for your opponent.
Handicap: I have been crushed by bronce teams....but most of the time I take them to pieces.
Anybody feels the same?

I just wish EA would admit that it exists... I mean if they are so ashamed of it that they can't tell people it's there then why put it in the game?
The only reason I can think of is that it's something in the code that no matter what they try they can't seem to get rid of it.
Start the whole gameplay section from scratch I say and make a pure football sim that the good footballing brains out there are the ones that have the great records....
No momentum advantage for a player that can't compete with the top players, he gets battered again and again and has to try and improve.. Heaven.
But, when i play against a 25k team they just cant do nothing. their best stats just dissapear. For example Aubameyang gets outpaced by Mertesacker, a very strong player gets pushed of the ball by a small and light player, players with a perfect ball control let the ball slip of their foot, iniesta struggles to give a 10m pass. And in the opposite, Some players ive never heard before become beasts. They become fast, strong, win every tackle, give good passes and most important: their players make really good runs while my defenders are just watching and let them go trough.
For me it happens the most when i play with a high budget team (sometimes with informs) against a low budget team. Or when i have a long winstreak and dominate every person, then suddenly the next 10 games become very bad. Just like i explained, they cant do nothing anymore and Dont make any runs to create chances.
Ive mailed EA one time a year ago when i was very frustrated, and they said (offcourse) handicap is not in FIFA. But i know for 99% sure its in.
Now after this have said, i hope EA Dont ban me again on this forum for being critical about the game. Would be pretty sad.
Look at the patch, firstly it was harder to score and you had to work scoring opportunities. That wasnt popular with the kids so they patch it so 1 player can dribble through a defence.
And i say it again, would be very sad if EA bans me on this forum again because i just say how i think it is.
Its funny how many people have said that their aubameyang gets outpaced by Mertesacker the last 2 years of Fifa. But i have never came across anyone that actually plays Mertesacker in over 1000 online game over 2 years.
That's it. You don't get some magical aimbot or invincibility in games like CoD just because you're bad. There are tons of videos on YouTube which are making fun of terrible players. And guess what ? These guys have the most playtime of all people on this planet. If you're bad you should get matched with players on your skill level, let's say division 8-10. You will still be winning some games, get promoted, get relegated, etc. But I seriously don't f*cking get, why people are rewarded with some magical stat boost or stat decrease / input lag for the better player, just to win games. You want to play the higher divisions ? Get better. You don't care about getting better ? That's why you are in Division 8-10.
Yeah, anyone who denies that this has happened to him, is either a brainwashed EA-Fanboy or is the one on the receiving end of the stat boost, because they're terrible players.
Hit the nail on the head there mate.... I would be much more willing to spend a decent amount of money on the game trying to get a nice team if it actually mattered more... I just can't bring myself to give EA any money for FIFA points to build a world beating team that still gets there stats downgraded at random times during a game!
It should be up to me if I feel like not trying as hard or if I'm gonna work hard to get a goal back... I don't need help in doing it or have it made harder for me to hold a lead

EA is a big company....Im sure they would know this after many years of FIFA and FUT....I doubt they said lets give it a try in 2017....they would just release the game to suit kids.....I dont know man I dont buy it.......It does feel like that sometimes Im not gona lie....but from a business point of view I really doubt that is the case.

Have you ever been on the other side of the score? ...meaning you are being dominated 60 min & get the goal against, you get mad bro....you step up your game and beat the dude....right?
In regards to team cost. Look at the end of each fifa when players are dirt cheap. The amount of people using low rated teams with next to discard players in so common. These people choose to use these teams as they play better for them. Same goes for bronze benching. If people didnt feel that it made a difference then they wouldnt do it.
Whether placebo or real the fact that so many different people feel its an issue would mean that there are issues in the game ( whether connection related or something more sinister).
I dont want to trash your point because your are right about the facts....not the conclusion in my opinion of course......this comes to my mind with what you are saying ............People go to church and pray...that does not mean there is a man in the sky listening.
