I just played FIFA 17 on PS4 with the new patch installed. I played two games and they were the most satisfying games I have played on FIFA so far. A 0-0 draw (Chelsea vs Man Utd) and a 0-2 defeat (Dortumund vs Bayern). They seem to attack more, be more direct in front of goal, more creative. And the most important thing I experienced, you cannot just run on the flanks and hope to get a free path to goal. The defenders doesnt stop chasing you so it takes a lot more thought in order to create chances. I definitely need to test the gameplay a bit more before coming to any solid conclusions, but to me, it is clear that the difficulty level on Legendary has been improved. I come from a career mode with Chelsea in which I have won 19 games out of 20 so far, and me not being able to scores goals in a game is extremely rare.
I've played a friendly Arsenal vs Chelsea after the patch on ps4, and i didn't see any changes on legendary. CPU still losing the ball too easily and rarely give a shot. I don't have any difficulty to tackle then. I think i'll need to stay with sliders. Does someone has some suggestion about configuration to make the game harder?

Yeah good one. Fut has flat out destroyed this game. CM gets worse every year and now I'm waiting for patch #2 to see if they MIGHT make the game somewhat challenging.
I've absolutley no interest in playing online. If EA don't care about CM then why have it? I've spent money on a game I wish I wouldn't have now.
Either get rid of CM so they can focus on the 8 to 12 year old demo with FUT or actually give a fk about offline players. The fact they haven't produces a challenging legendary mode for offline is flat out wrong.

The cpu attacks more, that's only change I see. Had to put game down again after 30 minutes. I'm not being chased on flanks and I can basically carve them open on through Ball, cpu isn't tracking runners like it should man.

Well, than i am wordless. I've played about 20 matches after patch and up to me it is even more difficult that Fifa 16. Maybe you guys are really good at Fifa, and only thing which challenging is to play pvp or in online.
5 minutes in on wc... 1-0... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ easy to score.

It's crazy. The cpu AI attacks more direct but has made it even easier, they try the killer pass but end up playing through balls for my defender to chase, really easy.
When I attack they don't pressure the ball enough or track my runners. I can play through balls to my attacking wingers all day long. The cpu AI is too slow to react.
Full manual is harder but I'm just getting more posession than ever. I've never been so frustrated at an ea title. Each time I put it on its more and more frustrating.
After some more time with the new patch I can safely say that it is still way too easy to score and win on Legandary. I restarted CM with Chelsea and in the first 6 games I have 6 wins and 15-0 in goal difference. I never feel threatened by the CPU offense and the CPU defense is too unsmart to stop me from scoring. The game just feels flat, there is no challenge. It´s time to move on. I am putting my hopes on FIFA 27.

I wouldn't say impossible but it's certainly more challenging which is exactly what career mode is crying out for!
Jesus you lot must be freaks or have wayyyyyyyy to much time on your hands this game as whole will be a challenge on legendary.

It´s not about having too much time on our hands, it´s more about being clever enough to exploit the terrible weaknesses of the CPU, realizing that you paid 60 dollars for a game whose highest difficulty level is amateur. And that is not something that requires practice. And the fact that you are here yourself proves that you care about the game as well. Otherwise you wouldn´t have posted your "Career mode continued issues" thread. So maybe I should say the same to you: you must be a freak or having waaayy too much free time. Or MAYBE, it´s because you, like all of us, feel robbed about something that should have been included in the game.
Doing a Portsmouth career, won League 2 with 8 games to go and finished top by 35 points, League 2 with 10 games to go and eventual 37 points. In the Championship West Brom actually kept up with me so it was the first genuinely interesting season, but then they lost 4 in a row (after literally winning every game for 2 months?) and I won it with 4 to spare, by 11 points in the end.
Only played 2 Premiership games so far and mostly because they've pissed me off with combined 3 shots on target against me all going in and I've had a 1-2 and 1-1 as a result, but still completely dominating the games. I've had a good few games were the opposition just completely crumble after I score one and it's 4-0 by half time with the first goal having been scored half an hour in with 5 minute halves. Happened with Man City in the league cup off the top of my head, scored one then two then three and ended up 6-3.
The positive is that the AI don't just sit back and defend their 2-0 deficit at home like last year. The negative is that once you get one in a lot of the times they just Tottenham it and the challenge is gone. It makes the game feel so pointless. Last year it took me ~6 months to reach this level of domination, this year literally first career mode first game on legendary I won 3-0.

I just can't imagine EA will continue to avoid this. I've played less than 5 hours. I remember on fifa 15, legendary was fine at first release then made to easy on first patch, they fixed it on patch 2.
Would be really great if they could give some indication that this is being worked on. Every career mode player I know is having this issue on legendary.
So played legendary and enjoyed it then I got promoted into the prem and 100000% players are now somehow affected. Sometimes they will just not sprint or it will take a second to pass. There is definitely a hindrance to my team. I loaded a previous save and found that my players reacted much quicker. It's soul destroying that cpu has to alter you players rather than being tactically sound
My main issues are not just with the match game play AI, but even just the squad handling. Too many times i play teams like Man City and Arsenal and there playing a whole bunch of Juniors.
Also regular season results between AI teams sucks, Man City in the relegation zone? Watford and Everton 1st and 2nd? Wtf...

I do not really good at this, but there are a lot of steamers on youtube who play Fifa on Xbox1 or PS 4 and do streams.
