Today is a sad day for Leicester City fans. Today is a sad day for football fans. Today is the day Claudio Ranieri has decided to retire from his managerial career. Little did they know it, but on the 13th of July 2015 everything would change for Leicester City. That’s the day Claudio Ranieri put pen to paper and was announced as the new Leicester City manager. The 2015/16 season was nothing short of a dream for Leicester fans. They continuously pinched themselves in an attempt to wake up but nothing happened. This was their reality. Leicester City embarked on a journey to their first Premier League championship. All thanks to their leader Claudio Ranieri. In a year where they were predicted to be relegated and were 5000/1 odds to win the league, they proved everyone wrong. Although his techniques may be a little different, Ranieri got results. He proved in this day an age where money dominates the game, that it does not have to be that way. With little budget, success can be achieved. He installed a never say die attitude into his squad. This attitude, their effort and their skill will forever be known in history. Their accomplishments will never be matched again. To have witnessed what occurred over the last season is incredible and for that Claudio Raneiri football fans over the globe thank you. Good luck with your future endeavors, you will never be forgotten.

Good luck man. Still seems surreal that they won it all last year.

Phillip Cocu Announced As New Leicester Manager

Phillip Cocu has today been confirmed as the new Leicester City manager. Cocu who is an ex Barcelona player had spent the last few seasons as the PSV Eindhoven manager where he succeeded ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Advocaat. Cocu's team in Holland showed many similarities to Leicester City, but the key one was that they never gave up. Ajax's four year dominance was put to a halt as PSV would win the 2014/15 and 2016/17 seasons. Phillip Cocu will face immense expectations as although replicating last years results would be near impossible, a Europa League place would be a bare minimum.

What Leicester fans can expect with their side this year would be a more youthful and attacking side. Cocu plays an exciting brand of football and has a large emphasis on the promotion of youth. Joining Cocu at the Foxes will be Mark Van Bommel and Ruud Gullit as his assistants with Edwin van der Sar signed as a goalkeeping coach.

Very nice choice... I remember him playing in the late 90s, and then when he joined FC Barcelona.
And also as a manager, he did great with PSV so I agree it's a wonderful appointment.

I also love Frank de Boer seeing the mess he's doing at Inter. He makes me happy almost every match!
