As usual the demo version is very good.

I usually play Fifa on Full Manual controls, slow speed, legendary difficulty and it's nearly perfect.
The only problem is that every team play almost the same way.

But the REAL PROBLEM is:
As soon as the kids realize they can't score so easily, the skill moves don't work everytime and can't do zigzag dribbling anymore, EA will change the game.
The day-one game will be different and on December "dribblepigs" and "longshotswines" will be back.

Stay with the demo and wait for Fifa 18.

But you'll say the same come FIFA 18, so should we just play FIFA demo every year and forget about the full game?

The demo is all about pace and through balls. You can tell how bad it will be for online fut by the capture event when everyone uses 90 plus pace players.

This is the reason I'll wait a month or two this year, let EA patch it up before buying.

My big concern was about this game would have been like a Fifa 15 3.0.
Luckily it is not, at least in my opinion.
Sure, I'll give a try with assisted controls, but playing on full manual and slow speed is another story.

The game is not about pace...it's about phisicality.
In some ways it seems even more slow than Fifa 16 thanks to the new player positioning on defense that can prevent zigzg dribbling.
If you can defend properly, pacey players are not that difficult to beat.

    So far so good.
    Unfortunately it's just a demo.

    Eheh, good point.

But as @lordCriper said in this case we would better wait for some patch. Then if the feedback is positive, we can buy it.

@lillo86 I feel pre orders have made the gaming industry lazy. At the point they have enough preorders to cover their expences plus some, developing quality aint that important anymore. The same goes for season passes, why do we buy stuff we have no idea what they are? :p

Imagine this; No one preorders Fifa 18. EA then actually have to deliver a quality product, otherwise they'll risk getting bad reviews and sales might not be high enough. :o

Sorry, got slightly off topic there...

You will see once it goes online everyone will think there was a speed patch. Bateson scored mostly on pace through balls same with kazooie. Thats them trying for good gameplay mostly and pace just worked without them abusing it.

That is why i'll wait till december/january sale ;)

Unless they let the game be something similar to the demo. Gonna wait till after the first few updates for sure

Wait until the EA Developers kids have played it and start moaning that they cannot go on a 90 minute speedy dribble fest. Then said kiddies moan to daddy ea developer and it will change in a patch on October 1st

On a serious note though, it seems a fairly lazy piece of work again by EA considering the mess of recent years with the only change being the Journey Story added

Online will be the big test as Fifa 16 was absolute garbage online
  • I want to buy the game, but I dont have enough money.I already pre ordered Forza 3 and BF1 so I will wait 3 months before buying it.

Yep. I remember the terrible experience by playing FUT.
This is why I enjoyed H2H with full-manual controls the most.

I completely agree with OP. The demo plays very well! A great FIFA game, but once the kids start wanting more pace and spee up gameplay it will be patched.... Sad sad truth. It happened to '16

How do you stand play against the computer? I've played 2 games in the demo and they've mustered a grand total of 1 shot on target(world class). The AI literally just passes the ball around the back, wins stupid freekicks and doesn't attack at all.

    For EA 1 happy customer = 60 euros, 10 unhappy customers = 600 euro

What do you think EA cares more about? Money or customers? Unfortunately very easy pick....

    Try Legendaty then...

Anyway this game lacks variety in playstyle yet.
Almost all teams play Tiki-taka...boring and annoying.
They don't care about offline modes.
They want us to play FUT.

    Very sad.

It seems like a supposed update of the demo worsened the game.
    Can anyone confirm this?
  • Update was apparently for lag issues the gameplay is the same

Nothing has changed apart from the sensitivity of penalties. Me and my brother played it two hours last night and that's the only thing we noticed

    Are you on XboxOne?
I'm asking you because it seems that XB1 version was updated at the moment.
    No PC nor PS4 yet.

    EA are finished!
Making players look sweaty at half time is just crap when they can't sort the feel of the game.

HAHAHA these kids can't handle full manual. As soon as you question tactical defending they claim you need SKILL to defend. But as soon as you question FULL MANUAL and AUTO pass/shot they hide or stay away because they know they lack any sort of skill.

    Wait for feedbacks guys.
If it's true this game is Fifa 15 3.0 don't buy it then.

Pinball FX2 is still the best pinball game.

For those EA/Origin Acces customers, can you please confirm if the full game has turned into a ping pong game in comparison to the demo version?

    Thanks.

I swear I read the same comment every year. YAWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  • Played early access. Game speed didn't seem to bad. Until I played my first game in the rain, the whole thing seemed to speed up, players running around like maniacs, it was bloody awful. I can't put my finger on it but this game seems so scripted, don't feel like I'm totally incontrol of my players, passes go were I wasn't aiming, funny enough, when I want my players to sprint they just seem to be jogging. Did not enjoy playing this game I just don't feel like I'm really in control of my players. For gods sake how many years is it going to take EA before we get a real football game. Year after year and no improvement just minor changes like new penalties and corners and the actual game play slipping backwards.Money money money FUT packs that's all they are interested in. Game Score 4/10. I was playing manager mode by the way. Alex Hunter, who gives a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ about that scripted story, I want a proper futty sim. Which I ain't seeing.
