Futhead confirmed you can only play as Alex Hunter. That sucks big time. It's way more immersive if you can make your own player.
NBA gave you a forced character in 2k16 and it flopped big time.

Used to be that you could create your own player. Last game you were given a character though and it sucked in my opinion.
Create all this and don't let you give him a name/appearance. Lame.
I think last year was only 1 character but you could change the way he looked.
The others was optional.
The only reason with a "forced character" is that the name fit but NBA solved it with nicknames.
