Probably an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed the Silicon Valley season 2 premiere a lot more than the first 4 ep's of Game of Thrones season 5.

The Joss Whedon series? Started off very badly but got pretty good by the time it was cancelled. The movie was a decent sendoff but the start is very awkward and might kill it for you before you get to the good stuff.

Was such a chore for me at one point to persevere.

First episode of GoT was decent, not as good as the first of the last season though.

I tried too, but I heard so many rumours already that I thought I was already spoiled but I wasn't. This month will probably fly by so I'm not fussed really.
