Oblak is undoubtedly very good but I'd like to see how he does without an 8 man defence.

Meh he has an 80% save percentage over the past 6 years, more than any keeper in the 6 years.

He has kept clean sheets in 100 out if 180 games in la liga.

Yes AM are a defensive team but the man is insane.

Oblak, ter Stegen and Allison are top and theres not much between them imo.

I prefer Oblak personally, his presence and shot stopping is insane.

ter Stegen and Allison are more modern.

I agree with those 3 being top and it is personal preference.

(To now contradict myself but this is THIS SEASON only) - Alisson vs Oblak

    Saves - 45 - 61
    Saves per game - 2.3 - 2.3
    Save % - 80% - 74%
    Conceded per game - 0.55 - 0.78
xGC (basically the same as expected goals for attackers but in reverse, the lower the better) Alisson -6 - Oblak +4

Alisson also catches/punches out of danger much more crosses, has conceded 0 from outside the box compared to Oblak’s 8. And the passing stats are ridiculously in Alissons favour.

People have been using that argument to discredit Alisson as well saying he looks good because of Van Dijk and it's simply nonsense. They're both in the top 3 in the world.

Tbh keepers and CBs are more of eye test players than stats players. And a lot of it comes down to presence. Do they install confidence in the side? If the answer is yes, then they are top players.

Alisson also has 31 cleans sheets from 58 games in the prem. which is 53% compared to Oblaks 55%. And one team plays a much more defensive system as already touched on.

Yea like I said I know I’m being very one sided but I do think Oblak is elite. Imo it is

    1. Alisson
    2. Oblak
    3. Ter Stegan

    The rest

Meh Oblak has played a lot more minutes than Allison, about 1000 more this season. So I think any comparisons are a bit void really.

Liverpool were literally about to enter a sticky period of form and the league got postponed so who knows how it would have finished end of season.

I have a very hard time believing they would let him leave for that price, even in this current state

With his injury history, I wouldn't even pay that for him.
  • LFC Simon 98

I would. I know injuries have really haunted him but if (big IF) you can get him on a decent training program and specialise it for him you could have an unbelievably good player

Tough one. I think they're desperate to sell him, and nobody will pay over 60m because of his injuries and reputation especially in this climate.

So I could see 40-60m being realistic in fairness.

Sounds like they need a RB. Wouldnt be opposed to offering Bellerin and seeing what they say. I do love Bellerin but think we can improve with one of the British RBs around, maybe Aaron's.

Stupidly AMN could make that position his own but he refuses it. If he embraces it like Davies at LB or Trent RB could be class.

I have no doubt Klopp could make him a world class player.

I think he would be a great signing for Liverpool.

Can cover Mane or Salah, whilst offering a more creative option for games where you need to beat a tough defence.

It was some pass but that's not the highlight though is it?

Neco has looked absolutely good enough to be backup #1 at RB in his appearances this season.
