Just been booted offline by another player!

Just been playing some kid online in Online Seasons, I was completely domination the game and at 3-0 he started messaging me saying how 'bad' I was and that I paid EA for my team :') Anyway, I just ignore his messages and continue to play the game, at around the 70th minute I was 6-1 up when he sends me another message saying that I was 'lagging' and I had a bad connection (My connection is more than okay). Again I ignore the message and carry on playing, I score my 7th of the match and when I'm in the middle of celebrating the game freezes, so I think okay now he's just rage quit but nope, seems I was 'disconnected from the EA online servers....
He immediately sends me a message laughing and telling me to enjoy my DNF.

Now I know that it's totally possible that I randomly got disconnected from the EA Servers, however it's never happened to me mid game on this FIFA and it's very coincidental that it happened during my celebrations.

I know I'm not allowed to name and shame people on the forums unfortunately, just want to make people aware. Has anyone else had this happen to them recently and is there anyone I can get in touch with to get this guy suspended/banned for cheating? (Assuming it wasn't just a massive coincidence haha)

the only way to do this is DDOS you which is highly unlikely but not entirely possible, tools are so easily available now..sad though

Yeah, I was thinking it could possibly be a DDOS, but then I thought, why would someone do it in division 4 of FUT Online seasons? Meh either is possible I guess.

Same thing happened to me. My opponent put his controller down at 5-0 and shortly after I started randomly lagging then disconnected. I looked at his profile and it said he was watching netflix.

Could be coincidental, 2 games my game was lagging yesterday then my opponent gets kicked after a cross in like the 5th minute then it happened again in a different match same circumstance. Odd

If you suspect he did it, report his username to PS or Xbox network.

Report it.

DDOS is a thing, rare but happens. Even in lower divs. Ive seen two so far that were obvious, out of a thousand games or so (this year and last).

This happened to me when I was playing a team of hero ronaldo, robben, Bale sif neymar ect and totally dominating, went 2-0 up by 30 mins my game froze and then booted me back to the main menu and I got the dnf and the game as a loss!

I dont know how this works but its true that someone could disconnect you from xbox live. It happened to me 3 or 4 times and one of them explained me that he actually did it.

I said i don't believe him and 15 seconds after i get disconnected again and then he responds "see i told you i could disconnect you"

Hmmm, seems I'm not the only one that it's happened to recently then. Just played another 5 or so games online with no lag or disconnections, if people actually do disconnect for the sake of a win then that's pretty pathetic

I don't do it but it's easy to disconnect people when losing. Although both players will get the loss. So it's not exactly a win/win. It's to do with the new xbox dashboard and is a stupid mistake on Xbox part. Hence why someone disconnected you and was watching Netflix a second later.

Had this happen to me this past week. Was winning fair and square and then suddenly I am kicked right out of fut. Sad that these people get away with this.

I was playing a fut match (ps4) the other day and I was winning 4-1 at half time, then the guy ridiculously turned the game around to 4-5 then at the moment he was celebrating the 5th goal the game buffered and he got disconnected. Was really weird because hadn't experienced any lag the whole match...

I got ddos'd by a player in fifa 14!! He would only let me play online if I gave h my ronaldo!!

Every time he saw me online he would shut my internet down!

Had to speak to my isp and get them to do something with my IP address and change it!!

To be fair, he was never pulling it back so I guess the loss to him didn't matter if he did do this glitch, seems the most likely scenario rather than him DDOS'ing me.

Probably yes, but it's unfair that I was booted off and punished for simply playing the game, what was I supposed to do? Let him back in the game or not score?

Yeah, it is a tough spot but I know if I go 3 or 4 up there is a strong possibility of a DC. You could always try things. Considering you gave up 0 goals, you had him stopped so you could have done anything.

Maybe it was a coincidence. He got a DNF too, from your part, so he could just be talking about the normal disconnection. I believe I've been DDOS attacked already, but it's not so common. EA kicks me out of the servers a lot too.

I may of been ddosed Friday night, just after I scored my third goal the game disconnected, my router crashed, and it took about 10 mins for my router to reconnect. I was suspicious as the person I was playing, was playing really aggressive, and just didn't seem like a normal disconnection.

I am not saying pass it around the back. Try some skill moves, long shots, stuff like that on the offensive. Since you know you have him clamped down defensively there is little risk.

Thing is, I was trying long shots and stuff, he kept bringing his keeper out in stupid positions and brought in on himself, it could've been over 10 if I'd actually taken half the shots when his keeper was out.
