This is a different universe than the DCEU. The reviews are out as well and all the critics have been praising it. Scorsese was involved in creating it ffs. Its a confirmed home run. Can see people who dislike the likes of taxi driver, mean streets, king of comedy etc not enjoying it, but for me I just can't wait to see what my trusted critics are saying is the best comic book movie since TDK.
Enough of the DC universe now marvel made it work DC haven't they should go and do the Killing Joke Film btw where's the chemist, inventive joker that uses toxins and is the highest level of insane we have never seen that portrayal just bits into different joker's like jack Nicholson had the props, Heath ledger had the insane intellect, and jarred Leto had the chemist part of the joker no one has had the full personally of the joker I just feel Joaquín Phoenix is too similar to Heath ledger and people who like taxi driver will say he's better than Heath ledger while people who like insomnia will say Heath ledger was the best and he was the best it's just Joaquín Phoenix seems to be too similar unlike the other 2 joker's Nicholson and Leto's though his was terrible I will watch The Joker it will be interesting to see who wins battle of the clowns this Autumn The Joker or Pennywise from IT 2 .
It seems every DC film tends to go back to the Batman universe. That's the only universe where there is realism. In that you can see a real life Joker somewhere in the world.
Apparently Phoenix didn't draw inspiration from any of the previous joker performances so I expect him to do his own thing and be more reminiscent of de niro in taxi driver.
im still sad that spiderman has left the mcu. I hope they think of a smart way to deal with this in the films as he was becoming an important part of that universe

Or CCTV footage of him in prison kids nowadays look up to iron man yet they don't know iron man has a criminal record yet he's playing doctor Doolittle next year same performance as when he was Sherlock .
