There's probably more to it than that but the fact we seem comfortable with selling him for £8m (which is quite cheap for us, let's face it) suggests we desperately wanted rid.
He falls into the same category as Cahill for me. A good Chelsea player who won everything with us, even though neither were ever an integral part of the team.
Unfortuantely they let themselves down by leaving in ominous circumstances, Cahill leaking information to the press in an attempt to disgrace Sarri and Luiz forcing a move to Arsenal on deadline day because he was rightfully dropped.

Me too, and that's definitely a bollocks story. Expect to see stuff like that everywhere if CAS do cut our ban short though.
