You had Sunderland, Swansea and Burnley, you shouldn't really be making excuses for not at least winning one of them.

IN: Varane, Depay, Pogba/Vidal/Kondogbia, maybe Clyne.
Out: Valdes, Di Maria, Falcao, (maybe Powell & Cleverley)
Make Wilson #9, give Chicharito, Nani some playing time.
PS OP, you should add the players that are just on loan atm. Because they're still Man Utd players.
Some worth mentioned are: Nani, Chicharito, Cleverley, Powell, Lingard.

Why do people want Di Maria out? Seriously makes zero sense.

    Why di Maria out?

And why would you want to get rid of valdes? Very experinced keeper if de gea ever got an injury I'd say United with Chelsea have the best first team and back up keepers.

Hernandez won't got any playing time he will be sold on he is a poacher that's it he can't hold up the ball and link up the play and his dribbling is awful he isn't the "complete foward" lvg likes to have

Nani may get some playing time aslong as he can track back and show lvg he can play as a wing back

Let me get this straight. You want to sell Di Maria and bring back the powerhouse known as Nani?

The loan players, apart from some of the youngsters, will not be playing for us again.

He's a good box player but he can't hold up the ball , he can't link up play and his dribbling is woeful. He is just a poacher .

We'll certainly need a striker this summer, that's for sure. Not a clue who it'd be though.
  • We won't need a striker. We should strongly consider apt back up to Waz alongside what we do need, which is goal scoring threats from wide. Mata and Herrera are players capable of reaching double figures in goals. Rooney will easily get a goal every two games, and Di Maria - whilst not renowned for his goals - will provide them. He has the second most assists in the league this season, despite being very average. If you add in say Memphis, Bale, or whoever, and they can provide 15+ goals we'll be fine.

The modern game requires goals to come from more positions than simply strikers. Lewandowski is Bayern's third top scorer, I believe.

Herrera has never got more than 5 in a season before, so that's a bold statement :?
  • He has a Ramseses-like knack of positioning with strong shooting technique without trying to force that to be the main facet of his game. It'll happen next season. Especially with European football.

Out of all the transfer rumors so far this year, Memphis Depay, to me, is the most likely to become a Manchester United player. Between Van Gaal's pre-existing relationship with him and all the media activity surrounding him and the transfer, it looks increasingly likely. He's already producing and seems to be on a long-term upward trajectory. I'd hope he doesn't become yet another young talent to succumb to pressure, or rather, if he does sign for United then he could take a slight derail.

Is it really that bold of a statement to suggest Herrera and Mata can get to 10 goals each in a season? I don't think so.

Herrera has got 5 this season already despite being underplayed. If he establishes himself as a first choice player and we are also playing UCL, I feel like it will be very doable for him to get to 10.

Meanwhile, Mata has got 8 already despite also being benched for some of the season.
  • Smalling a doubt due to illness. RvP and Shaw still out.

Good form or no other option in attacking?

Good form he seems to be full of confidence this season. Scoring goals for United and most recently scoring internationally Aswell and playing much better.

Pretty obvious now that he'll be playing the same XI as Liverpool except with ADM in for Young and Rojo for Smalling (illness).

Appears everyone's ready for tmrw apart from Smalling and RvP.

I hope adm doesn't start past 2 games United have played so much better without him. He loses the ball far to much and just lacks the confidence and self belief needed to be starting games.

If United win today, it will be their fifth straight win in the Premier League. Manchester United also have the best home form in the Premier League thus far, winning 12 of 15 matches played at home.

    De Gea
    Valencia---Jones---Rojo---Blind
    Herrera---Carrick---Fellaini
    Mata---Rooney---Young

SUBS: Valdes, Rafael, McNair, A Pereira, Januzaj, Di Maria, Falcao

EDIT: Since we're not probably gonna have an influx of mass comments for a relatively small game like this, we don't need a match thread, do we?

Would that team not be set up as a 4231?
