I've been absent from the forums for most of this year because of stuff happening in my life (stupid real life :D ) but because I scaled back the hours I work after I got married last month (which YES, I GOT MARRIED. IT'S INSANE.), I'm gonna have more time this year to hopefully get through my first long-term FIFA save in about two years (whoops :#)

I figured I might come back during the summer though and bring back a thread that people here have seemed to really like in the past, my interactive create a player career series. I'm going to run it the same way I always have, except once everyone's broken into their first teams I might rush through and do only two updates per season instead of three per season since the release of FIFA 18 isn't that far off.

Those of you who have participated in the previous versions of this game already know how it works, but for those of you who don't, I have provided a small excerpt from my previous three versions of this to better explain this.
This year, instead of managing an entire club, you will have the opportunity to create your own player. It could be based off of you, someone you wish you could be, a friend, an entirely fictional character, etc. I will be posting those players' process throughout their careers. Their career trajectory will be based entirely off of the attributes that you choose for your player. You won't be able to directly interfere with the player's career, and neither will I.

You will be able to choose everything about the player except for the birth year, which will be 2000 for every player, and the starting club. They will all begin their career as free agents. To join, all you have to do is fill out the below template.

Yeah certainly didn't reach the heights I was hoping he could, hopefully that changes this time though. Although I guess wasting away your entire career on the bench at Bournemouth, then the bench at Liverpool, then the bench at Bournemouth, then the bench at Middlesbrough, then the bench at Bournemouth again could be considered kinda maverick-y in a way :D

Yeah not sure if it'll stunt growth on FM or not but it is interesting how teams use the player differently. And at least I didn't put my third position as goalkeeper this time :D

Fingers crossed he can inspire a poor European nation to an international tournament :#

Not necessarily, it's still youth play so he can still change it, but yeah I'm guessing that's who he'll represent. I just checked out what happens in the next update and the club he goes to is a really big club so hopefully it works out there for him!

Yep pretty solid. A bit disappointing that you've been playing quite a bit less this second season than in the first but hopefully you break back into the starting eleven soon. Looking at your attributes though I definitely see some potential to be a USMNT mainstay for a long time within a couple years, hopefully you can get a move to Europe soon too.

Looks like Teme has chosen San Marino as his national team :# Hopefully he can get a trial with a team soon.

Not necessarily, it's still youth play so he can still change it, but yeah I'm guessing that's who he'll represent. I just checked out what happens in the next update and the club he goes to is a really big club so hopefully it works out there for him!
Ah, seems like he has in this update. Nice to see him earn a senior national team call up already. Surprised San Marino only lost 3-0 to Germany, we might actually not finish bottom of our qualifying group in a few years time. :o

Chuffed to have joined Monaco, pretty good team to start off at, may need some loan spells away before getting a chance with them though.

Yeah I want to get a move to Europe soon as well. I'm hoping I don't spend my entire career shifting throughout the MLS.

Yeah he has now. And yeah that was a decent showing, I could see them pick up the occasional win once he reaches his prime.

Very nice to see Monaco pick him up, and yeah there absolutely has to be some loan spells before he can ever break into the team.

Yeah. American players in these normally seem to have made it to mid-table European clubs for me tbf, but your player looks better to me at the start than what I normally see at this point so I wouldn't be surprised if he can be a star for a big club eventually.
